It has been almost a year since Miley Justine Simmons was adopted by Reverend Run and his wife Justine last September. Now they speak out about the power of providing love for a child, even if that child is not naturally born to you.
"They get so caught up with ‘I gotta have my own.’ If people knew that they would get that same feeling from adoption, I think more [couples] would adopt and not go through the heartache of trying and miscarrying," says Justine.
The idea to adopt came for Reverend Run and Justine shortly after they lost Vitoria Anne shortly after she was born. They consider their adoption of Miley Justine a healing experience, and they related to parents who are unable to have children.
Miley Justine, the latest member of the Simmons family has been introduced to the set of Run's House. Inclusion of Miley on the set is intended to open the world to the possibility of adoption.
