Angelina and Brad Leaders in Baby Naming: Why they Chose "Knox" and "Vivienne"

Angelina and Brad are said to be the leader in baby naming once again. The reason they chose "Vivienne" for their daughter is because it is a French form of a word that means "alive", and Knox was named after Brad Pitt's grandfather (Brad's grandfathers middle name).

That is not the end of the naming story, however. The middle name "Marcheline" belongs to Angelina Jolie's mother who had lost her life to cancer last year. Knox's middle name "Leon" is Angelina Jolie's great-great grandfather's name.

Oh by the way, you will have to hang tight on any chance of seeing pics of these babies. The asking rights to media rights to them is astroninomical-in the millions of dollars.

The Brangelian Twins have arrived!!

NICE, France — Angelia Jolie and Brad Pitt welcomed twins Saturday night at approximately 8PM. The twins, a girl and a boy, were delivered by Cesarian section performed by obstetrician, Dr. Michael Sussman. Dr. Sussmann, told The Associated Press that the actress, the babies and Jolie's partner, actor Brad Pitt, "are doing marvelously well."

The baby names are: Knox Leon (boy), and Vivienne Marcheline (girl). Knox Leon weighed 5.03 pounds at birth, while his twin sister, Vivienne Marcheline, weighed 5 pounds. The doctor said he believed the baby girl's middle name was chosen in honor of Jolie's mother, actress Marcheline Bertrand, who died in Jan. 2007 after a 7 1/2-year battle with cancer.

It is reported that Brad Pitt was there during the delivery operation at the seaside Lenval hospital in Nice in southern France. Jolie is expected to stay in the hospital for a few more days.

Jolie and Pitt already have four children: Maddox, 6; Pax, 4; Zahara, 3, and Shiloh, 2.
