Madonna's Final Adoption Hearing Scheduled for May 15th

Madonna's Final Adoption Hearing Scheduled May 15th

Malawi, African baby David Banda, is now two years old and his permanent placement is set to be determined on May 15th. Celebrities Madonna and Guy Ritchie had been fighting for the rights to have David in their USA home pretty much since he was born. Over the past couple of years, Madonna and Guy Ritchie have been in and out of court, facing much criticism. For one, they have been told they are ignoring the needs of poor children within our own country (USA).

In addition to the above, this couple has been speculated as taking this step just to follow suit with the new international celebrity adoption craze. Along with that, this star couple was speculated to possibly receive VIP treatment during the adoption process just because they are famous. To make matters even more complicated, much fear spread within various official government agencies because baby David originates from an area of Africa hardest-hit by AIDS. The spread of this deadly disease had by this time already resulted in over one million orphans in Malawi.

This recent adoption ordeal is speculated to finally be over with very soon. The government of Malawi had advocated the U.S. approval of this adoption. Barring any further argument or complication, the Malawi High Court has agreed to come to a conclusion on May 15th.
